What the law says
In England, CQC's Regulation 12 (safe care and treatment) and Regulation 18 (staffing) expect providers to make sure staff have the training and skills to care for people safely — including responding when a child becomes seriously unwell. Regulators in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have similar expectations.
The course is aligned with Resuscitation Council UK guidelines for paediatric life support, and gives you evidence for your training file.
How we assess learning
The trainer reviews learning through hands-on skills practice and team scenarios, with feedback as you go, and through questions and discussion during the day.
Your trainer
Your trainer has used these skills for real. They build the day around realistic scenarios on infant and child manikins, so staff practise the decisions as well as the techniques.

How is it different from paediatric first aid?
