Compliance and certification

Each nurse receives a Kasorb certificate of completion for your training file. It doesn't expire, because it prepares nurses for one exam. It isn't the NMC test, and it isn't a regulated qualification.

How it works

  1. Enquire with your postcode, group size and preferred dates. We'll come back with a price within 48 hours. We recommend booking at least four weeks in advance to secure your preferred date. If you need something sooner, just ask.
  2. Confirm the price and dates, and choose the site that will host the three on-site days. Your trainer calls beforehand to confirm logistics.
  3. Days 1–2, live online: how the OSCE works, the station formats, professional values and the NMC Code.
  4. Days 3–5, on-site: hands-on station practice and timed mock stations, with individual feedback.
  5. Certificates are emailed the day after the final day.

What the law says

Most nurses educated outside the UK must pass the NMC's two-part Test of Competence before they can join the register: a computer-based test (Part 1) and a practical OSCE (Part 2), taken at an NMC-approved test centre.

This course prepares nurses for the OSCE. It isn't the test, and it doesn't guarantee a pass.

How we assess learning

On the on-site days, each nurse works through timed mock stations and gets individual feedback from the trainer, so you can see who's ready to book their test and who needs more practice.

Your trainer

Your trainer has used these skills for real, and keeps the on-site days practical — stations, timings and feedback — so nurses walk into the test knowing what to expect.

Logistics

  • Room (on-site days): horseshoe or classroom seating — what matters is clear floor space for the stations
  • Equipment: the trainer confirms what's needed for the stations when they call beforehand
  • The trainer brings: all general training equipment
  • Group size: up to 8, so everyone gets time at every station
  • Timing: two days live online, then three days on-site; staff arrive 15 minutes early on the on-site days
  • Access: the trainer needs the room 45 minutes before the start
  • Anywhere in the UK, with days 1–2 live online
  • Live online: a quiet space and a device with camera and audio for each person joining — ideally one device each, and never more than two people per device
  • Literacy: we recommend at least Level 1 literacy and numeracy

Cost explained

This course is quoted for your team. Tell us your postcode, group size and preferred dates, and we'll confirm the price within 48 hours. It's one price for the group, up to 8 staff — not per person — and it covers your trainer, their travel and the course materials.

More than 8 nurses? We'll run another programme at the same rate.

Several sites? Nurses from different sites can train together if one site hosts the three on-site days. Tell us when you enquire.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the official NMC OSCE?

No. The OSCE is taken at an NMC-approved test centre. This is preparation, so your nurses arrive knowing the format and having practised every station type.

Can you guarantee a pass?

No. What you get is focused practice with feedback, and a clear view of who's ready to book their test.

Does the price include the NMC test fee?

No. The OSCE test fee is separate.

Why are two days online?

The first two days cover theory, the station formats and the NMC Code, which works well live online. The three practical days need to be in a room, with mock stations.

Can nurses from different sites train together?

Yes, if one site hosts the three on-site days. The two online days can be joined from anywhere.

Can the five days be split?

Tell us when you enquire if you'd like the days spread out, and we'll let you know what's possible.

How quickly can you come?

We confirm within 48 hours, and we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance to secure your preferred date. If you need something sooner, just ask.
