How it works
- Enquire with your postcode, group size and preferred dates. We'll come back with a price within 48 hours. We recommend booking at least four weeks in advance to secure your preferred date — live online offers the best availability of dates. If you need something sooner, just ask.
- Confirm your date, and whether you'd like the session on-site or live online.
- Your trainer calls beforehand to confirm logistics and understand your team and setting. Tell us about any change you're making now, and send background in advance if you'd like it used as the case study.
- A full day (09:30–16:30), discussion-based, with a case study and time to plan your next steps.
- Certificates are emailed the next day.

Who needs this training
Managers and team leaders leading restructures, new systems or new ways of working, for example:
- Managers rolling out a new system, such as digital care records
- Team leaders bringing teams together after a merger or restructure
- Project leads responsible for a change across teams or sites
- Senior leaders sponsoring change
It suits any workplace, including health and care services.
We recommend at least Level 1 literacy and numeracy.
What the law says
There's no legal requirement for change management training. HSE's Management Standards for work-related stress include change — how organisational change is managed and communicated — as one of six areas employers should look at when they assess the risk of stress at work. Where change affects jobs, contracts or working patterns, employment law sets out consultation duties; this course is about leading people through change, not the legal process.
It isn't a regulated qualification.
How we assess learning
The trainer reviews learning throughout the day through practice, questions and discussion. Each person applies the tools to a real situation from their own work and agrees an action plan with the trainer.
Your trainer
Your trainer has used these skills for real, and keeps the day practical — built around the changes your managers are actually leading.
Logistics
- Room: horseshoe or classroom seating — what matters is clear floor space for the group exercises
- You provide: a room for up to 12, with a screen or blank wall for slides
- The trainer brings: the course materials and all general training equipment
- Group size: up to 12, face to face or live online
- Timing: 09:30–16:30; staff arrive 15 minutes early
- Access: the trainer needs the room 45 minutes before the start
- Anywhere in the UK, or live online
- Live online: a quiet space and a device with camera and audio for each person joining — ideally one device each, and never more than two people per device
- More dates online: live online often has more dates available, so it's worth asking if you need training sooner or have people across several locations
- Literacy: we recommend at least Level 1 literacy and numeracy

Frequently asked questions
Can it be built around a change we're making now?
Yes. Tell us about it when you enquire and send any background in advance, and the trainer can use it as the case study.
Does it cover consultation and employment law?
No. It's about leading people through change. Take HR or legal advice on consultation, contracts and redundancy.
Is it suitable for health and care services?
Yes — for example, moving to digital care records, new rota patterns or merging teams. Trainers use examples from your setting.
How is this different from organisational development training?
Change management is about leading a specific change through your team. Organisational development looks wider: how the whole organisation works, its culture, and planned improvement over time.
Can it be done online?
Yes, live with a trainer, for up to 12 staff. It's discussion-based, so it works well online, and it suits teams spread across several sites. Each person needs a quiet space and a device with camera and audio.
What do we need to provide, and is there anything else to pay?
A room for up to 12 with a screen or blank wall for slides — or, for live online, a device with camera and audio for each person joining. There's nothing else to pay: the price covers your trainer, their travel and the course materials.
How quickly can you come?
We'll come back with a price within 48 hours, and we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance to secure your preferred date — live online offers the best availability of dates. If you need something sooner, just ask.
