Who needs this training

We recommend at least Level 1 literacy and numeracy.
What the law says
No law requires presentation skills training. It's development training for staff who present to colleagues, boards, clients or the public — and clear presentations help decisions get made and messages land.
It gives staff practice with feedback, and gives you a record for your training file and development plans.
How we assess learning
Each person gives a short presentation and receives feedback from the trainer and the group.
Your trainer
Your trainer has used these skills for real, and keeps the day practical and supportive, so even nervous presenters leave more confident.
Logistics
- Room: horseshoe or classroom seating — what matters is clear floor space, with room at the front for people to present, with a projector screen or blank wall
- The trainer brings: projector, laptop, flipchart and all general training equipment
- Group size: up to 12, on-site or live online
- Timing: 09:30–16:30; staff arrive 15 minutes early
- Access: the trainer needs the room 45 minutes before the start
- Anywhere in the UK, or live online
- Live online: a quiet space and a device with camera and audio for each person joining — ideally one device each, and never more than two people per device
- More dates online: live online often has more dates available, so it's worth asking if you need training sooner or have people across several locations
- Literacy: we recommend at least Level 1 literacy and numeracy

Frequently asked questions
Will everyone have to present?
Yes — that's where the learning happens. Groups are small, and the trainer keeps it supportive.
What if someone is very nervous?
Handling nerves is one of the topics, and the practice presentations are short and in a small group. Let your trainer know beforehand if anyone is particularly anxious.
Does it work online?
Yes. Everyone presents over video and gets feedback, which suits people who present on video calls.
Is it suitable for presenting to boards or clients?
Yes. The principles are the same for team meetings, boards, clients and conferences: plan for your audience, structure a clear message and deliver it with confidence.
Does it cover slides?
Yes — how to build slides that support your message rather than distract from it.
Can we train more than 12?
Yes. We'll run another session at the same rate. Keeping groups to 12 leaves time for everyone to present.
How quickly can you come?
We'll come back with a price within 48 hours, and we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance to secure your preferred date. If you need something sooner, just ask.
